The Advisory Committee is made up of experienced investment industry professionals from inside and outside of our organization. With guidance from our Advisory Committee, we design low-cost, broadly diversified portfolios that seek to optimize returns at a level of risk you are comfortable with.
Committee Chair
Oliver Tutt, CFP®
Oliver serves as chair of the committee. He is a seasoned financial professional with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. His career began in 1989 at Rhode Island Hospital Trust, and he has since held a variety of leadership roles, including Vice President at a major Massachusetts-based insurance company. In 2002, he founded Randall Financial Group, LLC, to offer personalized financial planning and investment management to individuals across southern New England.
Today, Oliver serves as Senior Vice President and Director of Wealth Management and Financial Planning at NCU Investment Solutions. In this role, he leads the development and delivery of comprehensive financial strategies, working closely with his team of advisors to enhance member access to NCU Investment Solutions’ expanded programs and services. His focus remains on providing thoughtful, needs-based guidance that puts clients’ interests first. Oliver holds a degree in finance from the University of Rhode Island (1991) and earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 1996 from the Denver College of Financial Planning. He has also taught investment courses in the CFP® program at Bryant University.
Dwayne Safer CFA, CFP®, CAIA
Dwayne joined the faculty of Messiah University in 2016 following a career as an Executive in the fields of Investment Banking, Corporate Finance and Strategy. Most recently, up until January 2016, he was an SVP of Corporate Strategy & Development for Citizens Financial Group, the 12th largest bank in the country with $225 Billion of assets. Prior to that Mr. Safer spent 10 years as a Director of Investment Banking in New York City where he worked for Stifel Financial and also served as an advisor to various U.S. government agencies during the recent financial crisis. He is a CFA, CFP® and CAIA charter holder.
During the summer months, Mr. Safer serves as an Investment Banking Instructor at Wall Street Prep, where he teaches and conducts seminars at leading Investment Banks in New York City. He regularly presents at notable MBA programs including Harvard Business School, The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon University (Tepper School of Business) and Yale School of Management.
John H. Fellingham, DBA, CFA
Jack is a finance educator and investment professional with more than 20 years of experience in portfolio management and over 13 years in higher education. He currently serves as Lecturer of Finance at Bryant University, where he has taught more than 75 undergraduate and MBA courses spanning investments, portfolio management, corporate finance, and financial modeling. A Chartered Financial Analyst and former Certified Financial Planner, Dr. Fellingham recently earned his Doctor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Rhode Island, where his research examined the impact of passive investing on valuation, market behavior, and corporate finance metrics.
Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Fellingham held senior portfolio management roles at investment advisory firms and financial institutions, managing multimillion-dollar portfolios and developing strategies across equities, fixed income, hedge funds, and derivatives. He has also contributed to student success outside the classroom, directing student-managed investment funds, mentoring honors theses, and supporting accreditation initiatives. With a passion for bridging theory and practice, Dr. Fellingham combines rigorous scholarship with applied learning to prepare students for careers in finance.
Maura Ann Dowling, CFP®
Maura is a Senior Lecturer in the Finance Department at Bryant University, has 27 years of experience as a financial planner with fiduciary expertise. She has taught CFP® courses for Bryant in five states. In her corporate roles Maura was Vice President, Director, and Wealth Management Consultant where she counseled financial planners on fiduciary portfolio design and implementation. She provides talks to corporate and non-profit groups on “The Art of Conscious Investment” which she developed to foster greater meaning in personal financial planning.
Currently she is the recipient of a Davis Fellowship for the use of AI in experiential learning in finance. She is a former Faculty Fellow in the Center for Teaching Excellence focusing on metacognitive learning. Maura facilitated the creation of Smart Women in Finance (SWIF) and the IMPACT Boston field trip and co-created the IMPACT Leadership speaker series at Bryant. She received her CFP® as a result of the CFP® program at Bryant University. Maura is fluent in Spanish and French. She holds an MA in Economics from Brown University and both a BA and MA in Mathematics from SUNY Potsdam.
Jason Jolin
Jason is a seasoned finance executive with over 25 years in the banking industry. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Navigant Credit Union, where he oversees the capital strategy, financial reporting, asset/liability management and investment portfolio, as well as People and Talent Management. Prior to that, Jason spent the majority of his career at Citizens Financial Group (CFG), a super-regional bank, in various strategy and finance roles, as well as investor relations. As Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Development, he participated in multiple M&A transactions and was a key participant in CFG’s initial public offering in 2014.
Jason was an adjunct professor for Nichols College, teaching graduate and undergraduate business courses. He earned both his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with concentrations in Finance and Computer Information Systems, and his MBA from Bryant University, and more recently completed the Certified Financial Planning education program.
